We made two examples: a shelf of book spines that is also a skyline, and a coil of rope that is also a harbour, warm bone against cool grey, with a figure walking a street and a figure standing on a quay. In both, there is no spot where you can point and say which of the two things it is.
Every spine is both a tower and a book, the shelf edge is also a street, and half the page stays empty. No mist or glow covers the join, so it reads as a metaphor rather than a collage. The only lettering is the title and the small lines you type. The accent colour from your palette may not show up; if you need it, generate again.

How to use it

Before it runs
- Two things that genuinely share a shape. This is the whole craft and it happens before any image is made — shelf and skyline, rope coil and harbour, staircase and score. If you have to explain the resemblance, it will not draw.
- A feeling rather than a message. The image carries the feeling; the small type carries the facts.
- The nerve to leave half the page empty. This style dies of decoration faster than of anything else.
When to reach for it
When the subject has a feeling rather than a feature list: an exhibition, a film, a season, a manifesto, an anniversary. Templates in this style ask for a 'super image' and describe the mood, then let the two halves of the metaphor sit side by side instead of becoming one surface.
