We made two examples: a chibi designer holding a play wedge on indigo, and for Spoke & Pedal a bicycle mechanic with a spanner on burnt orange. The motif rebuilds the whole frame: in the second, the cut corners, corner marks and background hairlines all become chain links.
The figure stands centred with the tool held across the body, the title splits either side without crossing it, and all four corners carry a label. Every ornament on the page comes from the same motif: the cut corners, the corner marks, the drifting hairlines. Hatching density and the paths of the background lines change from image to image. The colour rule applies to the page, not the person, so the figure is not tinted into the ground.

Before it runs
- A figure someone would recognise twice. A generic mascot makes a cover that could belong to anybody.
- A title that splits cleanly in two. One long word leaves one side of the figure empty.
