One Colour on Black

Pure black, one saturated colour, and a huge sharp-serif title with a glowing star burning inside a closed letter — locked into strict symmetry with information at all four corners. Six fields.

Chamber orchestra

Two runs of the same template. A vibe library beside a chamber orchestra's autumn programme in deep amber — one colour on black either way, and the star still sits inside a closed letter.

Generated from this template with the fields shown above — the symmetry holds at every band, the star sits inside the O with its glow, the two arcs reach in from the edges without touching the type, and the colour roles land exactly as split: A and VERSION in blue, the rest white. Run-to-run quirks: the serif's spurs vary from sharp to almost flared, and the rule's length shifts. The pure black, the single accent and the four-corner structure hold every time.

One Colour on Black

Produce ONE image: a strictly symmetrical cover, black, with one saturated colour. Follow every line below. Replace only the FIELDS block; everything after it is fixed.

First — do you have the fields?

If any field below still has braces around it, stop and ask. Put all the questions in one short message, and show the example under each one so they can see the shape of a useful answer. Wait for the replies, then draw. Never fill a brace yourself: a value you invented is a value nobody asked for, and it will look exactly as considered as the ones they did give you.

Ask in whatever language they are writing to you in. Translate the questions and the examples; do not make someone read English to tell you what they want.

The examples are only examples. If someone answers a question, use their answer; never fall back to the example because you prefer it.

If the fields are already filled in, ignore this and carry on.

Fields — replace these six lines only

  • The subject: {what this cover is for} e.g. Vibary's first pattern release
  • The top row: {three short items — left, centre, right} e.g. left: 2026 — centre: VIBARY — right: PATTERN RELEASE
  • The two subtitles: {a left phrase and a right phrase} e.g. left: A VIBE LIBRARY — right: VERSION 2026
  • The big title and its star letter: {the title, and which closed letter holds the star} e.g. RESONANCE — the O carries the star
  • The list under the rule: {three or four short lines} e.g. INTERFACE MOTION / PARTICLE FIELDS / WEBGL SCENES / AND MORE
  • The bottom row and the colour: {three channel-and-detail pairs, and one saturated colour} e.g. left: | LIBRARY | vibary.ai — centre: | EMAIL | hello@vibary.ai — right: | SOCIAL | @vibary — colour: electric blue

The frame

  • Landscape 5:4. Strict centred symmetry — every element has a mirrored counterpart or sits dead centre.
  • Ground: pure black. Not charcoal, not near-black. Nothing else occupies it.
  • Two arc-shaped decorative rings reach inward from the left and right edges, mirrored, drawn as a soft radial gradient running from the accent colour into black, with a faint outer glow. They wrap the content like a bracket and never touch the type.
  • Everything is crisp. Only the arcs and the star carry glow.

Top edge

  • Three very small sans-serif items placed at the left, the centre and the right of the very top of the frame.
  • Pale — white or light grey — with wide letterspacing, small enough to read as system information rather than as a headline.

The two subtitles

  • A single row, split left and right, in bold sans: - Left: the phrase, with its first letter in the accent colour and the rest in white. - Right: the phrase, with its first word in the accent colour and the number or version in white.
  • The two must balance each other in weight and length.

The title

  • The dominant element, occupying most of the central area.
  • A heavy retro serif with sharp, pointed spurs, its strokes thick and very slightly stretched.
  • Entirely in the accent colour.
  • Inside the named closed letter's counter sits a white four-point star with a soft outer glow. This is the single focal point of the whole cover.

The rule and the list

  • One thin horizontal line in the accent colour directly beneath the title, noticeably shorter than the title is wide.
  • Beneath it, the list, centred, one item per line, small sans in the accent colour, tracking open — slightly larger than the top row's text.

Bottom edge

  • Three blocks at the left, centre and right of the very bottom.
  • Each: a channel name in the accent colour wrapped in thin pipe marks, with its detail beneath in white or pale grey, very small.

Colour

  • Black, one saturated accent, and white or pale grey for support. Nothing else.
  • The accent may be any high-saturation colour — a true red, an electric blue, an acid green, a deep violet — but only one appears.

Every part must

  • ✓ sit symmetrically, or dead centre
  • ✓ keep its stated colour role exactly
  • ✓ stay crisp — glow belongs only to the arcs and the star
  • ✓ leave black space between the bands
  • ✓ let the title dominate

Never

  • ✕ a second accent colour, or any gradient in the type
  • ✕ an off-centre layout, or an element without its mirror
  • ✕ photographs, textures, noise, grain or illustration
  • ✕ the star anywhere but inside a closed letter's counter
  • ✕ a grey or dark-blue background instead of pure black
  • ✕ text beyond the six fields

The result

A cover severe enough to sit on a shelf of records and not apologise: black, one colour, perfect symmetry, and a single white star burning inside a letter.

The whole template, in one piece. The steps below are the entire workflow.

How to use it

  1. Copy the whole template with the button above.
  2. Replace the six FIELDS lines. Check your title has a closed letter, and name which one takes the star.
  3. Paste it into any image-capable agent or model, in one message. One run returns the cover.
  4. Run the series by changing only the title and the colour — the frame is rigid enough that ten covers still look like one label.

Before it runs

  • A title with a closed letter in it — O, D, A, G, Q. The star needs a counter to sit inside, and without one the layout loses its anchor.
  • Text for all four corners. Leaving one empty breaks the symmetry the whole design depends on.
  • One colour, chosen deliberately. Black plus red is a different product from black plus acid green.

When to reach for it

For anything that should feel like it costs money: an album cover, a portfolio front, a launch key visual. It is severe on purpose — the symmetry and the single colour are what make it read as decided rather than decorated.

What changes

  • A finished 5:4 cover in strict centred symmetry, where every element has a mirrored counterweight.
  • The title is set in a heavy retro serif with sharp spurs, stretched slightly, taking most of the frame in one saturated colour.
  • One closed letter carries a white four-point star inside its counter with a soft glow — the anchor the whole layout hangs from.
  • Two arc-shaped gradient rings reach in from the left and right edges, wrapping the content without touching it.
  • Tiny text sits at the top corners and the bottom corners, so the page reads as a system rather than a poster with a headline.
