A macro poster split on a diagonal — backlit translucent matter on one side, deep shadow on the other — with every text assigned to the side that can actually carry it. Seven fields.
We made two examples: light through green glass against indigo felt, and light through a salt crust against wet slate. Different materials, same rule: small texts go on the bright side, and one large line sits alone in the shadow.
The small texts sit in near-black on the lit glass and the large line in bright gold on the felt, so none of them get lost even when you squint. Light passes through the material: bubbles and flecks inside the panel, a bright rim along the cut edge, bokeh only where light comes through, and no highlight at all on the shadow side. The exact angle of the cut shifts by a few degrees, and the size of the creature varies too.

Before it runs
- A material that light passes through. Opaque things give this style nothing — the whole effect is transmission, not illumination.
- Copy split into two groups before generating: the small structural texts and one display line. They go to opposite sides, and deciding after the fact is what produces unreadable corners.
- A creature or object small enough to sit on the cut without straddling it. It marks the seam; it does not cross it.
When to reach for it
For a seasonal product, a limited drop, a calendar moment that wants to feel expensive. The photography half of this style is easy to get; the half that fails is the type, which lands wherever it looks balanced rather than wherever it can be read.
